5th Politics and International Relations Congress was successfully held and ended at Osman Turan Culture and Congress Center on September 14-16. Scientific papers were presented in different fields such as foreign policy, political science, international relations, history and opened for discussions at the congress, where participants attended from Türkiye and different countries.

Prof. Mustafa Aydın from Kadir Has University and Prof. Gökhan Koçer from KTU International Relations Department made the keynote speeches. Participants came together in face-to-face event after a long time at congress series. KTU International Relations Club students also took part in the congress jointly organized by KTU Strategic Research Center and KTU International Relations Department.

“The Best Doctoral Thesis Award", which has become a tradition in the congress, was given to Dr. Adem Özer from Gazi University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of International Relations with the thesis titled "Autonomous Weapon Systems in terms of International Humanitarian Law (Jus in bello)", which he completed under the supervision of Prof. Fatma Taşdemir.

We would like to thank all the researchers and staff who contributed to our congress and hope to meet at the next congress planned to be held in 2023.
