Management Information Systems students YaÄŸmur AVAN, BüÅŸra IÅžIKLI, and Hayrunnisa KANDAZ have achieved significant success in national and international technology competitions.

Our student YaÄŸmur AVAN, as a member of the Creatiny Rover Team, was among the 30 finalist teams with the autonomous forklift project they developed for the Robotics Applications in Industry Competition. She and her team secured second place and won the "Most Innovative Design Award" at the Micro Rover Challenge, organized by UKET and hosted by METU (ODTÜ). Furthermore, she placed among the 12 finalists and achieved international second place in the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) category at the International Competition of Military Technical College Unmanned Ground Vehicle Challenge held in Cairo, Egypt, on July 11–16, 2026.

Our fourth-year Management Information Systems student BüÅŸra IÅžIKLI participated in the TEKNOFEST 2026 Steel Dome Air Defense Systems Competition as a member of the KTÜ Fırtına Creatiny Team. The team reached the finals with the "Gökpençe" system—developed to detect and track aerial targets—and concluded the competition by winning the "Best Team Spirit" award.

Our fourth-year Management Information Systems student Hayrunnisa KANDAZ participated in the TEKNOFEST 2026 Medium-Altitude Rocket Competition, taking part in a significant engineering event focused on rocket technologies. Through their participation in this event, our student has contributed to work in the fields of technology development and engineering applications.

We congratulate our students—YaÄŸmur AVAN, BüÅŸra IÅžIKLI, and Hayrunnisa KANDAZ—who represent our university and department on national and international platforms, and we wish them continued success in their academic and professional lives.
