As part of the KTU Department of History Online Seminar Program hosted Assoc. Prof. İrfan KOKDAS gave an online lecture on "1845 Central Anatolian Drought: Environment, Actors and Politics" on March 13, 2023.

As part of the KTU Department of History Online Seminar Program hosted Dr. Cüneyt GUNES gave an online lecture on "Byzantine Order in Anatolia: Thema System" on March 6, 2023.

As part of the KTU Department of History Online Seminar Program hosted Assoc. Prof. Gülin RENDA gave an online lecture on  "The Use of Medicinal Plants by Folk Medicine and Modern Medicine" on December 27, 2023.

Faculty member at the KTU Department of History, Asst. Prof. Miraç TOSUN, conducted a field trip titled "The Edicts of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent" on December 14, 2023, to the Sultan Suleiman Cultural Center, as part of the curriculum of the course S.TRH 3015 Ottoman Diplomacy.

The Workshop on "The Past and Present of the Pontus Issue" was held on December 13, 2023, at the Osman Turan Culture and Congress Center, with the participation of experts in the field with the collaboration of our department.

As part of the 35th program of the KTU Department of History Online Seminars, Dr. Arif YACI from Koç University met with the faculty members and students of the History Department online on December 13, 2023.He gave a lecture on the subject of "Coins in the Ancient Mediterranean World."

Lect. Hülya ÇAKIROĞLU co-lectured with a retired faculty member from Tehran University, Dr. Kave JAVADIE, as part of  the course "S.TRH 3039 Persian - II" on December 5, 2023.

Dr. Fatih İNAN, a faculty member of the KTU Department of History, collaborated with Asst. Prof. Dr. Sidar GÜNDÜZALP, a faculty member at the Department of Archaeology, for joint course work within the scope of the course S.TRH 3049 Anatolian Archaeology.

Dr. Fatih İNAN, a faculty member of the KTU Department of History, conducted a field trip to the archaeological excavation area of "Trabzon Inner Castle" on November 14, 2023, within the context of the course S.TRH 3049 Anatolian Archaeology.

At the 34th program of the KTU Department of History Online Seminars, Professor Hacer TOPAKTAŞ ÜSTÜNER from Istanbul University met with the faculty members and students of the History Department online on November 8, 2023, and gave a lecture on "The Polish in the Service of the Ottoman Empire."

Assoc. Prof. Osman EMİR conducted a field trip titled "Colonization Activities in Ancient Greece" on November 7, 2023, to the Trabzon Hagia Sophia Museum within the curriculum of the course TRH 2047 Ancient Greek History.

In collaboration with the Faculty of Letters and the Department of History, a panel titled "Commemoration and Understanding of the Republic on its 100th Anniversary" was organized on October 30, 2023, in the Nazim Terzioglu Amphitheater with the participation of faculty members from the Department of History, Prof. Dr. Uğur ÜÇÜNCÜ and Assoc. Prof. Ahmet KÖKSAL.

As part of the TÜBİTAK Project titled "A Glance at the Social, Religious, and Ethnic Structure of Trabzon in the 16th and 17th Centuries through the Names of Women and Men Used in the City," coordinated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı ÖZCAN, a workshop titled "Examination of Ottoman Documents through Onomastics " was organized on October 30, 2023.
