WMS Engineering Trade Limited Company, founded by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dursun Murat Sekban from our department, operates within Trabzon Technopark and specializes in manufacturing friction stir welding machines. The company operates with a mission to provide innovative and high-quality solutions, offering a wide range of services for industrial and academic research.

Solutions:

  1. Friction Stir Welding (FSW): WMS Engineering manufactures high-performance and reliable machines using the latest innovations in friction stir welding technology. These machines ensure superior efficiency and quality both in industrial settings and research laboratories.
  2. Industrial and Academic Studies: The company conducts extensive industrial and academic research on friction stir welding and processes. These studies aim to develop innovative solutions tailored to industry needs and implement advanced technologies.
  3. Metallographic and Mechanical Characterization: Following friction stir welding processes, detailed metallographic and mechanical characterizations of the processed areas are meticulously performed by expert teams. This allows comprehensive data to be obtained regarding the structural properties and performance of materials.

Seafety Engıneerıng Servıces, founded by our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Hasan ÖLMEZ, operates within Trabzon Technology Development Zone under the TÜBİTAK BİGG 1512 support program. Since its establishment, the company has been focusing on underwater vehicles and equipment. Seafety Engineering provides engineering solutions for marine bottom cleaning, support vehicles, and specializes in the construction of custom ships and maritime projects

.

Solutions:

Reducing marine bottom waste inaccessible to current surface cleaning tools by adding and removing necessary equipment in a modular manner (such as robotic arms and manipulators, water sample collectors, water quality measurement devices, body bags, various types of cameras, corrosion measurement devices, etc.) depending on the mission, will enable the following activities: search and rescue, underwater pipeline and cable laying inspections, bridge pier inspections, underwater construction and maintenance/repair, underwater sample collection (for scientific research), oceanographic research, biodiversity studies, environmental research, underwater, mid-water, and surface wildlife studies, underwater mapping and verification, shipwreck recovery, underwater body and evidence retrieval (for law enforcement), investigation of sunken objects (ships, aircraft, etc.), underwater power stations, hydroelectric and nuclear power plants, water reservoirs, dam gates, underwater pipeline welding inspections, corrosion and cathodic measurements, ship hull, propeller, and rudder inspections, oil and pipeline leak/crack/breakage inspections underwater fault line investigations (for earthquake research), diver observation and support equipment, documentary filming activities will be conducted
