Assist. Prof. Dr. Hilal Öztürk Baydere and Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhammed Baydere, faculty members of our department, conducted an academic visit to the Department of Translation and Language Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain, within the scope of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training. During the mobility, our faculty members had the opportunity to observe technology-oriented translation education on-site by attending both the theoretical and practical sessions of the "Translation Technologies" course, which comprehensively examines digital tools, translation processes, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the translation industry.
As part of the visit, our professors met with the teaching staff of the host institution and engaged in productive exchanges of views on current translation technologies and innovative curriculum designs. These contacts, which provide valuable contributions to the internationalization vision and the development of educational standards of our department, have also laid the groundwork for future academic projects and institutional collaborations between the two departments and universities. We congratulate our faculty members and wish them continued success.
