KTU Receives 608,590 Euros in Grants from International Mobility Programmes
Our university has been awarded a total grant of €608,590 under the 2026 Erasmus+ Higher Education Mobility programmes and the European Solidarity Corps and ranked 14th among Research and Candidate Research Universities under the Erasmus+ KA131 Programme and 5th under the KA171 Programme.
Our university continues to expand international education and mobility opportunities for its students and staff. According to the 2026 results announced by the Turkish National Agency, our university has been awarded a grant of €454,460 under the Erasmus+ KA131 Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility Programme. Considering the grants allocated to Research Universities and Candidate Research Universities, our university ranked 14th among these universities in terms of the amount of funding received under the KA131 Programme.
5th in KA171!
Our university’s Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Mobility Project, which enables student and staff mobility with countries outside Europe, has also been selected for funding. Under the programme, our university has been allocated a grant of €94,630 for mobility activities to be carried out in different countries and regions. With the total amount of funding received under the KA171 Programme, our university ranked 5th among Research and Candidate Research Universities. Thus, the total Erasmus+ grant awarded to our University under the KA131 and KA171 Programmes for 2026 has reached €549,090.
First Grant from the European Solidarity Corps
In 2026, our university added another programme to its international activities. Applying for the European Solidarity Corps (ESC51) Volunteering Projects for the first time, our university was awarded a maximum grant of €59,500 according to the results of the 2026 First Round announced by the Turkish National Agency. As a result, in 2026, our university was allocated a total grant of €608,590, consisting of €454,460 under the KA131 Programme, €94,630 under the KA171 Programme, and €59,500 under the ESC51 Programme.
International Opportunities to Be Diversified
The grants obtained through the programmes coordinated by the Office of Exchange Programmes under the Office of International Relations of our university are planned to be used to expand international mobility opportunities for our students and staff, strengthen academic cooperation with universities outside Europe, and make volunteering activities an integral part of international engagement.
The Office of Exchange Programmes of our university will continue to diversify the international education, mobility, and volunteering opportunities offered to our students and staff through Erasmus+ KA131 and KA171 mobility activities, as well as initiatives carried out under the European Solidarity Corps.
