Fırtına Creatiny, a team of KTU students, became the Türkiye champion of the TEKNOFEST Hyperloop Development Competition for the third consecutive time, while K-TECH Team received the “Most Original Design Award.”

Third Consecutive Championship

Our students achieved two major successes at the competitions held as part of TEKNOFEST 2026 at the TÜBÄ°TAK Gebze Campus from August 31 to September 6, 2026.

KTU Fırtına Creatiny once again claimed the championship title at the TEKNOFEST Hyperloop Development Competition, organized by the TÜBÄ°TAK Rail Transport Technologies Institute (RUTE). Building on its first-place finishes in previous years, the team became the Türkiye champion for the third consecutive time, marking another significant achievement in the competition.

“Most Original Design Award” for K-TECH Team

K-TECH Team, also comprising KTU students, received the “Most Original Design Award” for the project they developed for TEKNOFEST 2026. The award, achieved following an extensive design and development process, added yet another accomplishment to KTU’s growing record of success at TEKNOFEST.

Commenting on the achievements, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, said: “The fact that our Fırtına Creatiny team has become the Türkiye champion for the third consecutive time demonstrates that this success is no coincidence, but rather the result of hard work, discipline, and sustained commitment. K-TECH Team’s receipt of the Most Original Design Award is also a strong indicator of our students’ capacity for innovative and original thinking. I wholeheartedly congratulate our students, their academic advisors, and everyone who contributed to these achievements.”

Our Rector further stated that the University would continue to support student projects that focus on creating, developing, and shaping the future of technology.
