EDUCATION PROGRAMS (FEDEK)

In the 2022 evaluation period, the accreditation decisions for the Bachelor's Program of Biology and
Bachelor's Program of Chemistry, which were evaluated by FEDEK for the first time, are presented
below:
Evaluation of the Bachelor's Programs according to FEDEK Evaluation Criteria:
Biology: Accreditation granted from January 4, 2023, to September 30, 2026.
Chemistry: Accreditation granted from January 4, 2023, to September 30, 2026.
The duration of accreditation for the mentioned programs will be included in the "List of Undergraduate
Programs Accredited by FEDEK" on FEDEK's website from January 10, 2023, onwards. It is essential to
avoid expressions in the written, verbal, or electronic use of these accreditation decisions that may lead to
misunderstandings, such as the accreditation being granted "for the university," "for the faculty," "for the
department," or "for all FEF programs of the faculty/department." It should be clearly understood that
these decisions are only granted for the mentioned Bachelor's programs.
The FEDEK Accreditation Certificate was presented to the Dean of the Faculty of Science during the
2022-2023 Academic Year. During the accreditation period, any significant changes related to the
program's name, content, personnel, management, and implementation must be reported to FEDEK, and
this responsibility lies with the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Science at Karadeniz Technical University.
