AyÅŸe TURGUT, a 5th-year student representing our University's Faculty of Pharmacy, was honored with the First Prize at the "National Patient Information Competition and Pharmacy Summit" event held in Ankara from April 26th to 28th, 2024.

The National Patient Information Competition, organized annually by the Ankara Chamber of Pharmacists Youth Commission and patented as a student organization, evaluates the competence of representative students selected from Faculties of Pharmacy in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in theoretical pharmacy knowledge, compounding of magistral drugs, and patient counseling. This traditional event brings together representatives from the pharmaceutical and pharmacy sector, academia, and students, making it a prestigious gathering in the field.

In the intra-faculty competition, organized in three stages by the Faculty of Pharmacy Patient Information Competition Organizing Committee of our University from January 3rd to 6th, 2024, AyÅŸe TURGUT, a 5th-year student, secured the right to represent Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Pharmacy at the 20th National Patient Information Competition. AyÅŸe TURGUT successfully passed the preliminary stages of the National Patient Information Competition, advancing to the top 16 out of 31 Pharmacy students and participated in the final stage held in Ankara. In the final stage, the 16 finalists were evaluated in a virtual pharmacy environment based on patient greeting, communication skills, and drug knowledge.

Representing our University's Faculty of Pharmacy at the 20th National Patient Information Competition, 5th-year student AyÅŸe TURGUT emerged as the winner, successfully completing all stages of the competition. We congratulate our student and wish her continued success.
