Our University Continues Its Rise in the URAP Rankings
The URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) Research Laboratory, established within the Informatics Institute of Middle East Technical University, aims to develop scientific methods to evaluate higher education institutions based on academic achievements and to share the results with the public. This year, URAP released its latest report.
With data obtained from extensive research, the URAP Ranking helps universities compare their academic performance with peers and identify areas for improvement based on specific indicators. In the 2024 URAP rankings, our university once again demonstrated its global academic performance. While ranked 1,430th in 2023, our university rose 117 places to reach 1,313th in 2024. This successful upward trend extends beyond the URAP rankings. Our university, listed in 7 international university ranking indexes in 2023, increased its presence to 9 by the end of 2024, including notable additions such as the NTU (National Taiwan University Ranking) and RUR (Round University Ranking).
Moreover, in 2024, our university crossed a significant milestone by entering the top 1,000 universities globally in both the Leiden Ranking and the RUR Ranking. Placing 985th in the Leiden Ranking and 953rd in the RUR Ranking, our university showcases its growing academic strength and competitiveness on a global scale. Through performance across diverse criteria and indexes, our university continues to advance its position in world rankings year after year.
