The opening ceremony was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Çuvalcı; the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ferdi Cihangir and Prof. Dr. Yakup Emre Çoruhlu; the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mustafa SarıoÄŸlu; as well as our academic and administrative staff and students.

The newly established laboratory is equipped with advanced manufacturing and prototyping infrastructure, including a waterjet cutting machine, a band saw, 3D printers, a laser cutting system, a 3D scanner, and computer-aided design (CAD) facilities.

Emphasizing that the laboratory is expected to make a significant contribution to the Department of Mechanical Engineering's "Design, Manufacture, Test, and Improve!" approach, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Çuvalcı, stated that digital manufacturing technologies, rapid modelling, and innovative prototyping solutions strengthen practical skills in engineering education. He also noted that such infrastructure directly enhances students' project development capabilities, adding: "We expect this laboratory to serve a wide range of purposes, from student projects and academic research to collaborations with industry. May it bring great benefit to everyone."

Following the opening ceremony, participants toured the laboratory and were introduced to the equipment and its capabilities.
