A new 53-bed Outpatient Day Treatment Unit has opened at our University's Farabi Hospital, following an investment of approximately TRY 30 million. The unit aims to make treatment more comfortable and accessible for patients who need medical care without staying in the hospital overnight.

Funded by Altınborsa Erkan Kuyumculuk Tic. Ltd. Şti., the new facility will serve patients from various departments, helping improve the quality of care while making treatment processes more efficient.

Local Officials Attend Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony brought together Trabzon Governor Tahir ÅžAHÄ°N, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, local officials, university administrators, healthcare professionals, and the donors who supported the project.

Farabi Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Celal TEKÄ°NBAÅž introduced the unit and shared details about its facilities, capacity, and the services it will offer. At the ceremony, Governor Tahir ÅžAHÄ°N highlighted the importance of continued investment in healthcare for Trabzon and the surrounding region, expressing his best wishes for the new facility.

Improving Patient Care Across the Region

Speaking at the ceremony, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, emphasized the University's ongoing efforts to strengthen its healthcare facilities and provide better services to the community. He noted that the new unit would support several departments at Farabi Hospital, offering patients a more comfortable environment for treatments that do not require an overnight stay.

Our Rector also thanked the donors and everyone who contributed to the project, emphasizing the positive impact the new facility would have on patient care and treatment.

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Marks Official Opening

Following a prayer led by Prof. Dr. Hayrettin ÖZTÜRK from Trabzon University, the new unit was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Guests then toured the facility, learning more about its features and the healthcare services it will provide.
