The project entitled “Industrial Transformation through Sustainable Lean Manufacturing,” in which our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk YILMAZ serves as a mentor, has been approved for funding under the TÜBİTAK 1831 Climate-informed and Green Innovation Technology Extension Program.
The project aims to integrate lean manufacturing principles with sustainability and green transformation objectives in industrial environments. In this context, it focuses on improving resource efficiency, reducing environmental impacts, and supporting the transition of manufacturing systems toward more sustainable and competitive structures.
The industrial implementation of the project will be carried out by ALS Endüstri Dayanıklı Tük. Mam. San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. as the industrial partner. The academic and institutional partner from our university is the KTÜ Technology Transfer Application and Research Center, which will contribute to technology transfer activities and coordination between academia and industry.
Through this collaboration, the project is expected to generate practical outcomes that strengthen university–industry cooperation and contribute to the dissemination of green innovation practices in the manufacturing sector.
