Career Skills Take Centre Stage as Industry Experts Meet Our Students

Our department recently welcomed representatives from Anadolu Yetenek Akademisi (AYA) for an engaging and highly practical career-focused training session designed specifically for our undergraduate students.

The visit brought together AYA General Manager Neslihan Burkut Kaplan and Organizational Development and Recruitment Coordinator Bensu Ertürk, who met with students to share real-world insights into career preparation and professional development.

The highlight of the event was the training session titled “CV Writing and the Secrets of Public Speaking,” delivered by Bensu Ertürk. The session focused on how to build an effective CV, common mistakes made during job applications, and practical techniques for presenting oneself confidently and convincingly in front of an audience. Students gained hands-on, immediately applicable guidance aimed at strengthening their transition from university life to the professional world.

Following the workshop, Neslihan Burkut Kaplan introduced Anadolu Yetenek Akademisi’s mission and ongoing activities. She outlined the academy’s training and mentoring programmes designed to help young people enter the workforce better prepared, while also highlighting the career development opportunities offered through AYA’s initiatives.

The event proved to be a valuable and inspiring experience for our students. We would like to thank Anadolu Yetenek Akademisi, Neslihan Burkut Kaplan, and Bensu Ertürk for their meaningful contributions and for supporting our students on their career journeys.
