Within the scope of its annual “Mini Technical Visit” event, the Karadeniz Technical University Industrial Engineering Club visited leading manufacturing facilities in the region, providing students with the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through on-site industrial experience.
First Stop: Hekimoğlu Döküm
The morning session of the technical visit took place at Hekimoğlu Döküm. Students toured the facility in groups and attended detailed presentations on production processes and factory layout. Conducted in an interactive format, the sessions allowed students to ask questions and gain insights into real-world engineering solutions. By closely observing the production line, participants had the chance to examine most stages of the casting process on site.
From Theory to Practice: Visit to Kayıkçı Klima
The afternoon program continued with a visit to Kayıkçı Klima. Students participated in a comprehensive tour covering both administrative units and production areas, enabling them to observe the overall operational structure of an industrial enterprise. One of the most engaging parts of the visit was the question-and-answer session, which took place in a warm and interactive atmosphere.
The visit was academically guided by Res. Assist. Melike CARI and Res. Assist. Betül KARA. Welcomed with great hospitality and generously hosted at both companies, club members concluded the day having strengthened their technical knowledge while also building valuable connections with industry professionals.
We would like to thank Hekimoğlu Döküm and Kayıkçı Klima for opening their doors to the students of the Industrial Engineering Club and for their kind support.
