The “KTU Patent Garden Tree Planting Day: One Sappling for Future” event, organized by our Center within the scope of World Intellectual Property Day and Patent Week, was held for the second time.
At the event, where a fruit sapling was planted in the soil for each registered patent, it was aimed for the knowledge produced at our university to contribute to nature.

The program, held at our university, was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk URSAVAŞ, our Center Director Lecturer Emrah AYVAZ, academicians, and patent owners.
Within the scope of the event, congratulatory certificates were presented to the inventors by our Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI. Afterwards, the saplings prepared on behalf of the registered patents were planted in the Patent Garden.

During the program, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI emphasized that innovative studies emerging at universities contribute not only to scientific development but also to a sustainable future. While stating that patents are concrete outputs of knowledge production, he also noted that each planted sapling represents a lasting value left to future generations.

Our Center continues its activities by contributing to the commercialization of innovative ideas developed at our university, while also maintaining practices that raise environmental awareness.
